you can go deeper by spending time to understand the topics that are of current interest are opposition to software patents, DRM, ACTA and policing the Internet. please see some of the essays at gnu.org and also at EFF site.
Well engineers don't design software patents. And if this is the talk that you want to have then bring the lawyers along @ the conference.
I want your take on this. I think you skipped my mail on your Gnowledge project that is incompetently and unnecessarily essayed.
