If you are talking about SEO, many of us may find the idea odious, as the free software gnu/linux movement depends on ethics.
Why do you consider SEO as a violation of ethics ? Anyone who has a website is putting it up not because he likes html coding, but because he (or she) wants others to see it.....the more the better. SEO is a process where the website is optimised and brought to the attention of search engines, without which the chance of anyone finding out about the website is slim.
Please tell why you feel Linux users should not use SEO techniques.
welcome back to the list - we were talking about you the other day and wondering where you were! Please dont reply directly to digests - put a meaningful subject line.
I dont know if SEO is unethical, but since it belongs to the same category as snake-oil sales, crystal gazing, fortune telling and currency doubling, I wouldnt think sensible people would want to discuss it.
