Hello Psachin:
tried two versions of the Puppy :Ubuntu Bionic
(can't find the NIC) and Slackware which loads but can't run any program,
Firefox won't start even in 'safe mode'. Slax hangs partways through
loading. Guess I got to keep looking. Thanks for your
suggestions.regardsharsha godavari

I am looking for a small distro ( like Luit Linux
/ DSL / Bonsai Linux)
to
run on old IBM Thinkpad 390 (Pentium II @ 300MHz
and 256 MB RAM). Nothing
fancy, just a basic OS. Thanks for your help
