I agree with no top posting. But messages like "PLEASE TRIM YOUR POSTS" and unnecessary flamewars use disk space and contribute to global warming too.
these are necessary flamewars - people need to be educated. That is the difference between us and the proprietary world - there the only thing that matters is money and one's own convenience without consideration for others. Here we believe in building a community based on mutual self respect and mutual consideration for others. Such a community can only be built by adhering to some basic rules. If people are unwilling to follow such rules, they have the liberty to fork and start their own lists - I for one would not entertain a guy who spits paan on my living room carpet.
