I recently decided using Evolution Mail. I downloaded all my mail (over 2k messages) from my GMail account and marked then Read. All the messages disappeared immediately. However, a day later when I tried to search for a mail I figured out there is no way to view the Read messages. Goto View --> Show Hidden Messages. :-)
