Till a couple of days ago I had a Intel Pentium 3
processor and a
80 GB hdd installed with FC4 , all was well then
Do you have an identical partition table in your new HDD and did you
copy files to the same partition? How does your old hdd work on the
new hw? Anyway the better option is what Dinesh suggested, go for a
fresh install. No shortcuts. :)
Yes certainly it would be better to install the whole of FC4 all over
again and copy the /home , but just to see what happens I tried this
out . Rony the disk partitions are not the same . I have made the
necessary changes in the grub hence it starts uncompressing the kernel
.. Is there any other files where i will have to make changes redarding
the change in disk partitions.
