That is exactly how i feel in a cybercafe using windose. It was the same feeling switching from dos to windose95. But switching from windos98 to RH6.0 was thrilling. I was in control of the binary beast once again. And the stupid 6215c display card and i810 mobo with shared ram, did they open up your eyes to the World of HighTech politics. I stopped buying intel stuff for quite some time. Intel lost about Rs.70 lacs of my bussiness. Today i do not touch anything which is not supported under GNU/linux . The reason - a company which does not disclose sufficient details for writing drivers has only malafide intent as far as it's customers are concerned. They are holding me and my bussiness and my customers as hostage.
Strange that the vast majority of bussinesses do not grok this fundamental fact. Perhaps they hold their customers hostage. Which is good - when i make my pitch i am sure to grab those customers ;-).
