I kind of agree with this . The first call should have been a call for participation/contribution rather than a pledge for 'cash' . Its quite understandable with community people but some times it gets misrepresented as yet another fund collection email .
Now that we are done with a call for cash, and if you are interested in the project, you can also do a call for participation. Look for things that needs to be done and compose a mail with that list and some ideas as to what it requires to get that done.
