I'm using the HP Laserjet P1007 since nearly a year and am quite satisfied with its speed, print quality and support. Had some initial hiccups with the Debian package, but that's all sorted out now (partly because I kept bugging the maintainers until they fixed it :)
I bought the printer for ~Rs 5500.
