Its been a long time since I posted to the list. I have been using fedora as my distribution. Currently on fedora 8. I used the ISIS applet for Devnagari text input in Gnome and I must say its a really great piece of software , its really impressive.
But I noticed that there is no way to use the applet in KDE. I would really like to use this applet in KDE. I have friends who use linux too , and all of them work primarily with KDE. So can anyone please guide me as to how to use the applet in kde.
If that is not possible, I was wondering if it is possible that the applet can be "ported" to KDE by the kde.in team? That would give a real boost to local-language computer use in linux.
In KDE I tried using the keymaps (IN keymap -> Bolnagri variant for phonetic) options available in Kcontrol Centre , but the problem is that its mapping is not "really "phonetic" and efficient and fast as the ISIS Applet provides, atleast for me.
