well RH7.1 requires localhost network to be activated u should see a line during bootup settup up interface lo [ok]
to enable this edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-lo and set ONBOOT=yes in it also run ntsysv and setup service "network" to be started during bootup
that should solve it , atleast it did 4 me
Yes, it solved the problem. Now I am able to print both on local printer as well as on remote printer. Many thanks.
