.We're just abt to start a linux group in our college. I believe with more awareness a lot many students might be interested.I'd like to have suggestions on the right way to go abt doing this
[snip] This is what we suggest.........start a conversation on the Mailing list abt the projects on Free Software and Gnu-linux in general that would facsinate and encourage the students in ur college to take on projects @ the PRC.
Once thatz done....we will have a solid list which u can then take to ur students @ ur college. The PRC as of now aldready has a few projects listed on it. I think the lack of activity on the PRc is DEPRESSING, cause we alwayz wanted the PRC to be a body of the pple, by the pple for the studentz. And unless therz some initiative by both the STUDENTS and MENTORS themselves, i fail to see how will things start marching ahead.
So, start by asking evry1 else on this ML to get a list of projects that would b good enough for u and other Final year students to work on ..................nd get BOOMIN with the PRC.
All of us nd me too are there whenever u neen any guidance on any projects.
