Hi
This is a snip off from a thread abt how sad some isps are monopolistic coz others bill you more etc ...
I m just curious how much bandwidth does an average linuxer need each month ? I know it varies from person to person and all sorts of things but just curious.
i browse , chat, email , upload photos , update critical upgrades ( whatever they are called ) each month, voip on skype and a few tools ... my appetite is about 700 - 1000 megs monthly.
For personal usage i have 32kbps exatt connection at home. Browsing, irc, and apt-getting random foobar takes ~400MB per month. Though last month i managed to download ~6GB at office, mainly because ubuntu dapper was released and i dist-upgraded and downloaded several x/k/ubuntu isos.
For me 500MB per month is more than enough at home.
