Dear Binulal.
My mistake. since you mentioned 1362 in the topic, i didnt notice that u actually bought a 3002. Did a bit of digging around on the net and found his link, that may explain some of the problems associated with the 760 chipset, and probably also why even windows performance with the acer/sis drivers blows.
Really? :( :((
And it looks unlikely that DRI support for this chipset will come out anytime soon( or at all... :'( ). So, for now, i'd say the 1362 was a better buy than the 3002.
Yeah I agree, except for the weight :p (And until I am able to iron out all the issues :D )
I had a look at this. Also digged a little bit of XF86Config. It uses a sis660 driver and has DRI. Still need to investigate the local memory issues!
Also, with regards to ACPI, i managed to get the battery meter, system monitors and screen blanking working. however, i didnt spend enough time with the sys to try out the suspend settings and power/lid-flap/custom button actions. So, dunno about that. Try it out with the 9.3 SuSE/FC4(whenever it comes .... :-\ ) and see if you still face the ACPI hangs.
Where can I get SUSE 9.3 CDs?
P.S. : oh, and ever since i lost a lot of perfectly good hair trying to get a SiS 6215C to work back in '98, I've got a kind of aversion to SiS. And this does nothing to improve matters....
