The brand available locally is Pinacle and costs about Rs. 4K. I have not sold any yet, just queried prices for a client. About linux compatibility, I don't know but these links may help.

Got a noname (actually sinovideo corp) TV box. It has a Trident TM5600 chip inside. There is a driver with some ugly hacks to extract firmware from the doze driver, but the version i have has no hardware compression and hence the procedure to extract firmware is not yet documented.
