I have tried it. Actually for the first time, and this was on 3rd November 2005. I haven't received the CD's yet.
My friend had ordered on 26th August and received the CD's in the last few days of September. I too am waiting for the last few days of November to receive it.
- Is it safe to give my home address online ? (at
shipit.ubuntulinux.org) Though it is an AES 256-bit encrypted page, I have my doubts as I have never disclosed personal info online except in selected mailing lists.
I think, it is safe but I dont have exact details of problems.

It is perfectly safe to give your address. I have ordered CDs twice and have received them safely both the times. I have a few extra CDs if you need. Dont order unnecessarily.

Even burglars wouldn't target us poor FLOSS users ... as far as they are concerned we don't even have enough money to purchase M$ Windoze for our comps ;-)
On second thought ... we should actually have more money bcoz of all that we have *saved* on software purchases. I'd be careful out there if I were you!!!

Nope. since u dont have to run around swatting sundry worms and most off your tasks are automated by shell scripts, u would be busy blowing your saved money on beer ;-)
