Hello,
I have a Red Hat 8.0 version installed on my machine. I am not able to copy any VCD having .dat files.
I get an "input/output error". This creates a file in the destination directory but of 0 bytes.
I have tried dd command but in vain. (fails with same error)
Help me out.
Thanks

What's the relevance of this message to "For netbaba"? Use a meaningful subject line, please. Also, tell your email client to wrap long lines at column 72 or around there.
Hi,
I also have similar problem I am runnig Knoppix 3.2 I can copy data from ordinary data CD's but not from VCD's.
Could this be the new copy protection thing that film industry across the world is employing. But then how come even pirated CD's are having the same problem.
There's nothing different in /etc/fstab just the usual line for cdrom drives (I will send you the content of the file as soon as I get home). What other info you guys need.
Thanks in Advance.
