hi guys, i require some help can anyone tell me the root password for the LFY Kinoppix cd which came along with this month's issue.. i need to mount my drives ...but for that the system ask's me for root password..and also can anyone tell me how can i eject the LFY KINOPPIX cd after i have booted from it.. Switch to another terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2. Now u r in root prompt. Now give the command 'passwd' and give the new root password. After this go back to X by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F5. Now u can mount any drive. And U cannot eject the Knoppix CD bcoz The OS is runing from the CD. If u remove the CD, there will be no OS.

while booting type knoppix 1 at the lilo prompt and press enter to bot into single user mode and do the needful

use sudo instead it works "sudo mount blah blah"

You can't do this. Imagine what will happen if your OS found out. that the HDD from which it booted up is missing simillar issues here also. Also in GNU/Linux you can not eject a drive that is mounted.
