mozilla 1.2.1-26 not running on redhat linux 9 i dont know whats happending but it fails to start. no errors also. anyone come across similar problem ?? regards. [ILUG-BOM]configuring lilo

In 2 gb HD .I had installed debian linux in 900 mb partition and lilo in "MBR" .After that I have installed RedHat in another 900 mb partition ,while installing redhat I have not installed lilo neither in mbr nor in first sector of partition Now there are 2 partition each of 900 mb .1 which has debian and another which has redhat .Now I have to configure lilo to boot both debian and redhat since redhat partition doesn't have lilo installed on it .so I am not able to boot redhat. Regarding this I have gone through the How to's also .but no way

MPI Communication

hi all , i have a linux cluster (10 node)..having OSCAR. now MPI and other communication r using same n/w. i want to make MPI use different n/w alltogether (diff set of n/w cards) and other communications (ssh,etc) diff n/w. so that communication gets faster. i dunno feasibilty of this project ?? if at all it is feasible can some1 tell how much diff in efficiency shuld i expect. pls help ! - Mrudul. ___________________________________________________ Send your photographs to loved ones anywhere in India. problem starting emacs

thank you for all your replies, which were really sent so very promptly. that shows the enthusiasm that linuxers have for helping each other with their problems. unfortunately, the problem wasn't solved. it is still giving the same error: emacs: error in loading shared libraries: libXaw3d.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory i think there is some problem with the shared libraries. it would be great if anyone of you could point it out, so that i could tell my sysadmin to do the needful thanks for all the co-operation and support linuxers rule!

hi Shuvam, actually i m doin my final yr project @ TIFR.= we have two ethernet cards on every node. So,we can have two disjoint netw= ork. my aim is to make MPI communication thru` = independent network and other traffic like OSCAR,OS communications , = etc use diff n/w. Since u have figured out the feasibilty of it,i have in m= ind a possible way to approch a problem : 1) to make some chan= ges in CODE of MPI n/w communications ( which code to chnge that i`ll have = to study) 2) Then make OSCAR and MPI work together as if they= were on same n/w .(like default setting) wat r ur view= s on this ??
