Ayttm 0.3.0 has been released.
http://ayttm.sourceforge.net/
Ayttm is a Universal Instant Messenger, and is the heir to the
everybuddy project.
The minor version number bump is so because we feel there are enough new
features since 0.2.x to motivate it, and to make people read the release
notes. Things have changed and we'll get bugreports if no one reads
it. Modules path has changed, it is now $PREFIX/lib/ayttm instead of
$PREFIX/share/ayttm/modules, so if upgrading, you have to change your
~/.ayttm/prefs file by replacing "share/ayttm/modules" by "lib/ayttm".
You'll find a perl script on the download page that does the job.
* Bugfixes
- Segfaults fixed ;-)
- MSN: Login in predefined state now works
- Compilation warnings
- Plug memory leaks
- gdk_pixbuf optional
- Jabber fixes
- Yahoo chatroom (bad name displaying) fix
- --url command-line option (lets modules handle URLs,
ie "aim:goim?screenname=colinleroy")
- TOC modules now try ports 80 and 9898 (should stop
problems from places with transparent http proxies)
- Fix useless Error popup at logout (with Jabber)
- Handle TOC Chatrooms name errors
- Proxy support fixed (every type of proxy should work
with or without auth)
- Modules path changed to comply with FHS (read README!)
* New features
- "Actions": lets you run arbitrary commands with your
conversation logs (print, mail, view in browser,...)
- New away messages system (allows deletion)
- Login on startup now on a per-account basis
- Asynchronous connection for jabber
- Activity bars for Yahoo,MSN,AIM,ICQ,Jabber
(allows cancellation of hung connections)
- Yahoo: non-blocking connects for every connection
- Shiny new preferences window
You can download it (source and rpms) from http://ayttm.sf.net/files.shtml

Hello Vinod,
good-day.
We indeed will be glad to meet you all at Dharwad. But planning out
for your event at Dharwad will take some time and i suggest you get
started on the same. When we meet at iitb-hubli, we can sit and discuss
these issues face-to-face.
As for the Event and your existing use of Free Software and Open
source, yes......that indeed makes me glad and proud. You indeed have
made your self and the college proud by insisting on going in for Open
Source and Free Software.
I would suggest you read up on the following sites that will give you
enough information on Free Software and Open source.
* www.gnu.org
* www.opensource.org
Lemme know if you have any other clarification to make on the same. DO
keep in touch and lemme know if you desire any clarifications on the
same.
Last but not the least....post reading up the sites lemme know if you
would prefer to rename the event to "Free Software : The Road ahead".
Have a nice day vinod.

i recently installed rhl7.1 on a comp in my college lab. samba was installed
by default. then i downloaded xsmbrowser which is a GUI for accessing other
comps on the lan using samba. i installed it and it ran perfectly on the
first day.
from then on whenever i run "#samba start" as the root, it gives me the
following error:
"/usr/sbin/samba: box: command not found
Starting SMB services: [OK]
Starting NMB services: [OK]"
then when i run xsmbrowser, and click on Samba Config, it gives me the
following error:
"Unable to find Domain Master"
so it is not possible to access the lan
any help will be highly appreciated

Greetings,
How do I view HTML mails using mutt/links, presently the html mails
are received at attachments, they open using links, but a temporary file
which is passed by mutt to links is named similar to mutt9938, links does
not recognize this as an HTML file and opens it as simple ASCII file, I
would like if mutt can pass the file as mutt9938.html or links open all
files as HTML format.
Bye.

HI Friends
I have a doubt in C++.
when I pass an object to a function, the destructor gets called twice.
This behaviour hasn't been mentioned in any books that I have read.
Can someone please explain why this happens.
In the below example the destructor for p1 gets called twice when it is passed
as to the function f.
_______________________C++ Code Start____________________________________
#include <iostream.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
class play {
public:
int i ;
int j;
play(int m){i=m; }
~play() {cout << "destructor called " << i <<" " << j << endl;
}
void f (play p) {
p.j = 177;
cout << " klkl " << endl;
}
};
int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
play p(1), p1(2);
p.f(p1);
cout << "Hello, World!" << endl;
return EXIT_SUCCESS;
}
_______________________C++ Code End_____________________________________
______________________Output Start__________________________________
klkl
destructor called 2 177
destructor called 2 134514273
Hello, World!
destructor called 2 134514273
destructor called 1 134519308

I totally agree to this
the ilug-mumbai website never seems to be up-to-date, the first page of the
website still says...

The April GLUG meet is to be held at HBCSE on 13th april at 04:30 p.m.
For directions to reach HBCSE please visit:

shouldn't it be hosting the upcoming GLUG info?
The meetings/events section is still stuck in february
