Fellas....:D
It's been quite sometime since we all have been a large family sharing
thoughts and ideas. I see us putting efforts towards a local event
sometime soon and will work with you towards seeing that mature.
Philip Tellis a stalwart of the GLUG-BOM will be moving out of Bombay
coming Sunday. We shall have a small toast at "Barrista@Bandstand
Opposite the seaface in honour of our perl Guru" this SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
All are invited. Do lemme know how many will be making it.
Philip will always continue to be our "perl guru"......Best wishes to you
my friend in any endeavour you may get into.

Linux needs more great weeks
Sanctions against Microsoft and market momentum won't guarantee the
Windows rival's future on desktop PCs
03/27/04
MATTHEW FORDAHL
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- It might have seemed to be the best possible week for
boosters of the Linux open-source operating system.
As their nemesis, Microsoft, was sanctioned by the European Commission for
anticompetitive trespasses, computer giant Hewlett-Packard Co. gave Linux
a new vote of confidence, and the largest Linux distributor posted strong
financial results.

Topics: Office Software
By: Taran RampersadI came across this Microsoft OpenOffice 1.1 Competitive
Guidethrough a post on the TTLUGmailing list, and decided to answer it
fully in a FDLedresponse because it will save quite a few people from
typing everything.
