have a look at this image. It clearly shows that at least a part of
MSN Brazil website uses PHP + MySQL

a suggestion - the lists could be formatted using the numbered list
syntax, that way we can insert new items easily. Also some mechanism
to login before editing - the wiki is now wide open ... or at least a
mechanism to know who has made the edit

Good morning all,
I thought it would be best to capture ideas when they are fresh... so I set
up a wiki page where people interested in contributing to a new Windows->
GNU/Linux howto can share experiences and collaborate.
Here's the link: http://hatwar.org/wiki/doku.php?id=wiki:gnumigrate
After the document is done, I suggest we format it into a nice HTML/PS/PDF
and host it on our Website... perhaps ibiblio with proper credits as well.
Warm wishes,

Hi all,
This may sound like a stupid question, but is there a utility by
which I can kill an open tcp remote client socket connection ,
without killing the server process ?
Eg, A remote client connects to a server.
The server has no interface to disconnect the client.
I do a netstat and get the IP address and socket of the client.
Now I want to disconnect the client, so I want to issue something
like $ killsocket <remoteip> <remotesocket>.
Is there anyway by which I can do this ?
Thanks
Shahed.

My own 90 paise (overvalued):
As long as the popular system is a synergy between GNU and Linux, one
way (that I suggested a long time back in this group) out of the
slash dilemma is to merge the two terms and call it Gnull (pronounced
g'null, to differentiate it from null, the essential nothingness, a
breathtaking acknowledgment of its holism).
And since the Hurd is apparently popular with people who are
currently fiercely technically minded, the combination should be
called Gnurd (pronounced nerd, about which no comment is necessary).
As to GNU being still under development, I think its fantastic beauty
is that the development will never stop.

Why only SMEs? Why not large Enterprises?

I will try to elaborate as many points as possible to develop this into
a complete how-to. Let me see when can I start. Also, inputs from the
community is also important.

Dear Friends,
Wipro has come out with a new laptop with an AMD mobile processor with
all the usual stuff and it is priced (in the adv.) at 30K. Taxes must be
extra. It uses Linux. I saw this ad in the papers just before Feb 28.
The price was supposed to be post March 1 after some WTO relaxation??? I
can't find more details as its not on their website, but those looking
for a laptop with linux could make some enquiries.
Regards,
Rony.
