I dont use email clients. I use Yahoo! Mail directly on my web browser.
However, I was told this before by Philips Sir, and I have my lines wrapped at
72 characters. (PLAIN TEXT)
I dont use my signature when I send emails to the mailing list

The NSW govt. is replacing MSoffice with Staroffice.
"Sun Microsystems has scored a publicity coup ahead of the
much-heralded arrival of Microsoft chairman Bill Gates in Australia,
with a NSW government minister announcing today Sun would replace
Microsoft in providing an e-mail and calendar system across 1,500
users in the state Roads and Traffic Authority.
The move represents one of the largest rollouts of non-Microsoft based
software within the state government. "

Hi.
I've been trying to get differential backups with tar. I've got it
working nice and fine except for one problem. If a file is modified
after the last full backup, it gets included in my differential backup,
as it should. But my differential backup also includes directories that
have not been modified since the last full backup. These directories get
included as empty directories. The files in them (rightly) do not get
included in the differential.
To create a full backup I do:
tar cvf /backups/full.tar /home
To create a differential, I use the timestamp of the full backup archive
as a reference:
tar cvf /backups/diff.tar --newer="`date -r /backups/full.tar`" /home
Works well, except for the directory inclusion part. Am I missing
something?
Regards,
NMK.

I suppose this is one important 'unbiased' answer to the question.
It is only power that would drive a computer and hence.....if there was no power no other components would function...even though the components are equally significant!

sorry guys, i know this had been discussed earlier, but cant seems to
find in archive.
i wanted to know where to blacklist sites those openly do not support Firefox.
the one recently launched by an indian bank (IDBI) for online share trading,
http://www.idbipaisabuilder.in/
gives out this ridiculous message when viewed in FireFox,
Sorry.
This site can be viewed only using
Microsoft Internet Explorer ver. 5.x
and there is one more web site by another big indian bank, icici,
their general insurance site,
http://www.icicilombard.com/app/Calculators/two-wheeler-calculator.asp
and,
http://onlinemanager.icicilombard.com/icici/netproducts/view_policy.asp?Pol…
though they are not as arrogant as idbi, but the pages above simply
dont load in firefox.
any ideas how to make sure they hear us? writing to web master, i dont
have many hopes, unless they are pressured from above (sometimes i
wonder, how these web masters get jobs, i mean, should it be the first
thing on his mind to use a standard HTML so that is can be viewed from
any browser?)

Dear All,
here is my suexec log -
tail /var/log/httpd/suexec.log
cannot run as forbidden uid
all that i got from google is my uid (89) is below minimum
number allowed by suexec to execute CGI.
and I hv to recompile apache to change minimum number
is there any other workaround to do this other than recompilation
Regards,
Pramila
Interesting question. I think I would be doing it still. Monetarily Free
Software itself is not as rewarding as proprietary stuff, but then is it not
the love of it that we do it rather than 'other' reasons?
The subject line is too generic. To give credit where it is due, I use
ICICI Bank's online facility and it works fine on Firefox. I also have
an account with HDFC and cannot recall having any problems with it
(though the last time I used it was many months ago).
On the other hand, the site for the US Visa application really sucks
on Firefox.

I decided about my career long ago and only chose to work with computers;
it is a passion and also my ROI for future.
If it was the worst paying job, I would have probably worked at different places (if possible :-/) to earn enough to suffice important needs!
As a student, I work with computers because of other reasons. However, it will continue even later if the job would pay atleast the bare minimun
