Problem while module programming in Debian sarge

Hi all, Can anybody tell me how to print hello world on kernel module loading in Debian GNU/Linux (sarge). As per the instruction mentioned in the book "Linux Device Driver",3rd edition, O'Relly publisher by author Rubiny, I tried to load module. But there are a lot of compilation errors concerning different header files. I failed to progress. Please help with details. mod_authz_ldap and ssl

Hello, I am running RHEL4 ES and httpd comes with mod_authz_ldap. It seems there is no support for ssl in mod_authz_ldap but I can't believe that. However, I cannot see a single thing mentioned about ssl or certificates on the mod_authz_ldap homepage except client cert mapping. I neeed it to work over ldaps. Can you confirm that is does not support ldaps ? If i'm wrong, what directives can you use to point it to the cert file etc... I'm not using client certs. I just want to use ssl between httpd and the ldap box for authenticating users to webapps. Dear Colleague, Invitation to the Open House at CDAC, Mumbai The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Mumbai (formerly known as National Centre for Software Technology) is a scientific society of the Department of Information Technology involved in Research and Development into the area of Software Technology. The current areas of R&D focus at the centre include Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, e-Learning, Network Security, Databases, Graphics, Localization and Open Source Software. Apart from R&D, the centre also undertakes development projects, conducts a variety of education/training programs and offers consultancy to industry. CDAC Mumbai is organising an OPEN HOUSE on the 18th of February 2006 at its Juhu campus where delegates can interact with our R&D staff and get a feel of the various research/development/educational activities in progress at the centre. This will broaden their exposure to the field of IT and pave way for closer interaction with CDAC Mumbai. This is for all those people involved in the recent flamewars, especially the "RTFM/Google" flamewars. I think people should notice the obvious difference in the attitude of both the original poster, who's a newbie asking what may seem like a stupid question to the experienced users, and these very experienced users who are replying to him. BEST Route Database

All: I have recently acquired the latest bus timetables, route information, and index of stop and location names from the transport planning wing of the BEST, which can be downloaded on http://freemap.in/data/best_transport in dbf format. If anyone in the community is interested in developing further applications with this database, please get in touch with me off list. In collaboration with BEST, a group of us are attempting to build a free (as in beer and speech) map-based transport information system, which will connect this route database to the Mumbai Free Map on http://mumbai.freemap.in -- we need volunteers with GPS devices to help us geo-reference the bus shelters and routes in their localities, as well as help in project development. Kmail, Gmail problem about seeing own's posts...

Hi, For those of you who are using Gmail with POP and Kmail and are unable to see their own replies, upgrade to KDE 3.4 or later. They seem to have fixed this issue. When I first started using Kmail with Gmail's POP servers, Kmail wouldn't fetch my own replies from Gmail's inbox. I could see my replies in the web interface but Kmail decided to ignore them. Recently I switched over to FC4 and the default Kmail client fetches my replies. Alas, this machine is still on FC2 and KDE 3.2 :( Just thought the list would like to know. ciao! -- Dinesh A. Joshi

This year, the conference will focus on the use of Information and Communication Technology in Agriculture (e-Agriculture), exploring avenues through which governments, NGO's, development agencies and corporates can work to successfully promote e-agriculture to benefit the rural economy. To achieve a sustainable level of food production it is necessary that they have seamless access to: * Information on weather, production and cultivation techniques, seeds and fertilizers, plant nutrients and water usage * Funds and liability coverage through agri-finance and agri-insurance * Assistance from universities on new techniques (such as biotechnology) used to increase production yield * Market infrastructure like warehouses and Cold-chain management Thus, creative delivery of information and other resources to farmers becomes vital. E-agriculture aims to harness the potential of information and communication technology (ICT) to enhance the dissemination of vital information on agriculture to the rural population. Various agencies - including government, corporates and NGO's - have utilized ICT to implement innovate solutions and facilitate the access to knowledge. The Baramati Initiative seeks to synergize these learnings through presentations and panel discussions involving not only experts and practitioners from NGOs, corporations and government agencies, but also the grassroots partners , the ultimate beneficiaries. teaching spamassassin

hi, recently installed spamassassin. Am running spamd as root and have configured it to work with postfix. I regularly put all the missed spam into a folder and run sa-learn on it. Only thing is, it doesnt seem to be learning. I have fed it over 500 mails so far - but still no learning. I am running sa-learn as root. Do i need to run it as any specific user?
