in the .po file I find the word 'P_rofile' -
how does one translate this? or is
it a typo?
_ means shortcut key. for P_rofile, Alt+r will be key for that
menu/item. Translator will translate it as પ્રોફાઈલ (_r). However,
some efforts like translating shortcut in l10n has started but I'm
unsure about it!
btw, standard practice is to have your i18n stuff in a
directory
called locale with the following layout:
say you have german and tamil:
~/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/ayttm.po
~/locale/ta/LC_MESSAGES/ayttm.po
Yes, this is correct.
I also see a lot of words beginning with '_'.
Is this meant to happen?
Same as 1st explanation when first character is used for shortcut.
Example: _File.
