TCP/IP stack tuning

How to install a distro from the hard-disk

Hello! I have an iso image of installable linux on my hard-disk. No CD. Any idea how to use this image? As in, how to install linux from the hard-disk? Please adhere to them; I would like to request the admin to use the 15th point. This should settle all the recent crappy mails once and for all. Now I wonder how many people actually read guidelines. Peronal opinions ... bah! Sameer. ILUG-Bom Mailing List participation Guidelines ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 2. When quoting another person, edit out whatever isn't directly applicable to your reply. Don't let your mailing software automatically quote the entire body of messages you are replying to when it's not necessary. Take the time to edit any quotations down to the minimum necessary to provide context for your reply. Nobody likes reading a long message in quotes for the third or fourth time, only to be followed by a one line response: "Yeah, me too." Messages larger than 10k will not be posted immediately. Such messages will need the list admins approval. 5. Limit line length to approximately 65-70 characters and avoid control characters. 11. Please provide URL's to articles wherever possible. Avoid cutting and pasting whole articles especially considering the fact that all may not be interested. In any case your posting maynot be more than 10k. Occassionally if you may have to send such a mail, post it, it will reach the members after the list admin approves it. 15. x shifts to right

hi i have configured X hubndreds of times but i haven't been able to find out why my X display shifts to the right i know this has something to do with the horizontal frequency settings of my monitor but what exactly? is there any way to save the adjustments made by xvidtune . i tried manually editing my XF86Config-4 but it didnot work i remember XF86Setup had an option to do so but redhat has deprecated it it still works in freebsd though can anybody help me out on this ===== ninad purohit have a nice day :-) ________________________________________________________________________ Missed your favourite TV serial last night? India IT club newsletter.... can we benefit from it??

hello luggerz look at this http://www.geocities.com/tonysingh4u/Ind_IT_Club_Nletter.doc i came across this newsletter which comes from the Tokyo office of India Trade Promotion Organization(the organization which runs the pragati maidan in delhi, it also has an export promotion deptt). The compiler of this newsletter Mr. N.K. Sehgal is a close family friend of ours.
