The theme of the conference will be "Scientific Python in Action" with respect to application and teaching. We are pleased to have Travis Oliphant, the creator and lead developer of numpy (http://numpy.scipy.org) as the keynote speaker. Here is a rough schedule of the conference: Sat. Dec. 12 (conference) Sun. Dec. 13 (conference) Mon. Dec. 14 (tutorials) Tues. Dec. 15 (tutorials) Wed. Dec. 16 (sprint) Thu. Dec. 17 (sprint) The tutorial sessions will have two tracks, one specifically for teachers and one for the general public. There are no registration fees. password protect option in open office

hi all i am facing an unusal thing or i might be wrong, if any one has faced similar one please let me know or correct me if its wrong and suggest a way.... i use open office 3.1 and when i try to protect my document with password it will take the password but it is not actually getting protected when i double click the document, open office is suppose to ask the password, but without asking for any password it is actually opening the document any suggetions?

bug-162057 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/openoffice/+bug/162057> has been reported with the same issue, *.odt format password protect is working fine, but not others, i would rather suggest you to use gpg or export your docs as pdf and protect it, simple way round even you can zip protect your doc. -- 'I am what I am because of who we all are' http://www.h3manth.com -- Hemanth HM
