Hi Rakesh,
FSF-India can as a non-profit can participate in this event. This is my understanding , correct me if am wrong.
As per last years update from Nagarjuna , we can set a booth atleast to give out FSF Goodies/Intro letters etc.
If the organizers are willing to give a booth for our volunteers (am one of them) , nothing like it.
Let me know the details of the other events , Am more than willing to help
Regards
Kanti

Kanti, if you can convince the organisers of LB to give FSF-I a free booth, then there is nothing like it.
Regarding FSF-I involvement you should talk to FSF-I board members like Arun or its Chairman Dr.Nagaruna.
Cheers
Reproducing one of the LB organisers response below. Response couldn't have been any more encouraging to anybody involved with FLOSS.

Is FSF-India in the list of participants this year

the event? It would be great if a booth is given for the FSF where goodies can be put up.
We aren't a commercial "Linux" event to give the community a small stall at the outskirts of the event, just to be able to claim that we have "community involvement". :)
This event is *for* the community - talks and activities are *by* the community. Therefore, by definitiion, the FSF is already a part of this Free & Open Source Software event.
We have a big tradition of giving stalls to FOSS projects - front and centre, pride of place. If more space is needed, we create it.
But putting up a stall alone isn't exactly what we call "participation" - participation is a complete thing: participation in talks and discussions about projects, issues relevant to to FOSS, brainstorming with other FOSS groups like FOSS User Groups, SIGs, interacting with people, etc.
Given that the FSF is part of the FOSS community, this is their event as much as everyone else's.
