Hello All, "INDEPENDENCE DAY GREETINGS" The reason I haven't used the word "happy" is because this is a day we observe, recollect the sacrifices of our forefathers and renew our pledge to uphold the values enshrined in the Preamble of our Constitution. Free Software Movement is all about Community and its Freedom. This means that we have the responsibility to protect and strengthen our Freedoms from the attacks by various vested interests, expand and strengthen our Community, using every available opportunity, to further the Movement.

Vikram: at the moment, I don't think its feasible to have t-shirts for organisers and volunteers. Or rather - there is no one is who is currently taking care of these logistics. Additionally we are already short of funds.
If some of us are very particular about T-shirts for volunteers (provided all volunteers wear T-Shirts - I don't know if this is the case) the best thing would be to freeze on a design and print it for ourselves. These days there are many shops that do affordable printing on T-shirts. Yes one of us could do it for all of us - but then the problem is the initial cash and so on.
Accommodation for RMS: Ramkrishna Reddy(Redhat). Don't forget the 21 points.
Ramkrishna: Dr Chatterjee is trying to arrange accomodation at IISc or NIAS. We will get a complete picture by noon today. Otherwise we can book a hotel room. Do you have any other ideas?
Cheers, Abhas.

One of the selling points that was used to convince students to volunteer was that T-shirts would be provided. So if something urgent can be done on this front it would be good.
Hi,
What is the situation of the volunteer list? Vikram, please try to keep only the confirmed names there as decided earlier.
Regards, Kushal
