Hallo!
I am Rainer Kersten. I am working in the Duesseldorf Office of the FSFE.
We have some GPLv3-t-shirts which we would like to send to Bangalore for your event. Would you please be so kind to mail me a postal address? Is any paperwork for customs clearance needed? How should the content of the package be declared?
Kind regards Rainer Kersten
Hi, Just wanted to confirm if the above was seen to? Second, wanted to know about T-shirts for the Organisers? It will be good if the Organisers are *distinctly* identifiable at the Conference venue. Third, Aanjhan had agreed to see to the badges for volunteers, delegates and organisers. Was wondering if someone else is already on it?
I had a detailed discussion with Rainer regarding this, I have given the deeproot address for sending the tshirts. They are in two minds now, whether to send it by post, or send it through Ciaran, who is attending the conference.

I think it would be better if they simply sent it with Ciaran.

This would normally be a good idea, but this time it is not practical.
I leave tomorrow (to get 3 flights to get to Bangalore), and I am going with British Airways via London Heathrow, so I will be subject to the worst of the current baggage restrictions.

The Good news is that, they have lifted the restrictions to an extent

That's good to hear.
I spoke with Rainer Karsten and Gareth Bowker. Sending the t-shirts by post is too expensive (220 UK pounds).
I will talk again with Gareth and find a solution. Maybe it will be possible me to bring them. (If Gareth can drive the t-shirts to London, and if British Airways allow me to add to my luggage during a stop-over.)
I will email this list later to say what is happening.

The new plan is that Gareth Bowker will send half of the t-shirts by post. Rainer gave him the address.
