Dear All,
*Comet* (programming) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comet_%28programming%29, is reverse Ajax call, we make a server to push an asynchronous response to the client with an request, Most of the online streaming server work this way, even sites like meebo.com, gtalk intergration with gmail are some of the typical example of the server push technology(Comet). I am trying to implement the same in on of the application but I got struck, If some of you had already done this or something similar to this, please do share your ideas Some of my attempts
1. I had tried couple of things with prototype and hidden iframe, 2. comet jquery 3. comet dojo
but I am not succeed with any of these attempts.
Discrimination : My query may not be relevant to Linux, but the tools[1] were open source. People whoever feel its not relevant to them please do ignore this thread.
