Hi,
We are planning to put a website..and work on the issue of say no to "imposed monopoly rights"
IIsc students had made this request . We were planning to do some ground level campaigning.
Red hat Venky, Prof Gopinath said it would be important..given the fact of the 'software patents' are being trolled..and 'IP" cells are being promoted in a big way..
We thought if RMS would come it would be very nice.
We had blocked 14,17th on discussions with Renuka and Anivar.
Is this dropped completely ? Anyways we will continue the ground work..
thanks senthil

I am seriously wondering who is coordinating the Bangalore events??!! Is it Anivar or Arun or Renuka or RMS himself? Who is it who is fixing up these events and the priority? IISc event was discussed at CIS but not SSIT Tumkur. There seems to be absolutely ZERO discussion here. No one seem to have any regard for the meeting that was at CIS where a huge discussion took place.

Are you interested to co-ordinate? if yes why dont you do?

RMS

We discussed about events in bangalore , if requests other than bangalore comes to RMS -- he will decide right ?
There seems to be absolutely ZERO discussion here.
That is not required to be discussed as the requests might have communicated to RMS through arun seperately

Nothing different is going on apart from few adjustments --is what i feel ..you can check all the discussions if you are interested

I am trying but the information sharing process seems to be weak simply because there is a media blackout on the decision making process.

Ok. Why was the IISc event cancelled? IISc is on a higher priority than SSIT Tumkur. We were trying to influence the IP cells there.
Who is it who is fixing up these events and the priority?
RMS
And who is advising him? I am sure that he does not have all the required data.

So if Arun is in directly in communication with RMS why is everybody else answering for him?

Please check the minutes, the discussions and what you have just said and see if they sync with each other. -- Vikram Vincent +919448810822 http://swatantra.org/

It is still not cancelled. Senthil knows the details, we are still trying to accomodate it on RMS's schedule

This is what I meant. I ask Renuka a question and you reply. Senthil asks Arun a question and you reply. And when you are asked a question your reply goes something like "I am saying because Arun is saying because RMS is saying". Do we really need so many priests in the middle?

You asked a question about IISc programme and I replied because I knows about it. What is your problem in it. why you feel this much agitated? In free software you can own the process through contributing to it. This is the basic process of volunteering for a cause. I am still reminding you to publish the schedule for christ university programme.

You are already co-ordinating one of the major events in bangalore -- waht information is blocking to you?
I hope we all are co-ordinating .. dont you feel so? Events cannot be co-ordinated by one person alone , all have ot co-operate and you are also doing that right ??
Ok. Why was the IISc event cancelled? IISc is on a higher priority than SSIT Tumkur. We were trying to influence the IP cells there.
You say this --- Some other say that some other thing is also important -- whether IISC or SSIT proposals will go and RMS will finalize is what my understanding
Who is it who is fixing up these events and the priority?
RMS

No one can advice RMS , we can propose -- he will decide as simple as it happens with any body

I feel Renuka, me senthil etc were already volunteered in as we can . It never denied anyone

I dont know that Tumkur is in Bangalore. And Tumkur & mysore events are planned after respective colleges invited RMS directly

It was about the events in Bangalore. at that time there was no invitation from mysore /tumkur people
